Tushar Gothi is the Co-Founder and Director of Ceramat. He has a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, and brings hands-on experience in operations, supply-chain development, and scaling of niche manufacturing businesses.
At Ceramat, he focuses on building reliable production systems, supplier networks and customer relationships, ensuring that advanced bio-ceramic materials move efficiently from development to real-world applications.
Sabyasachi Roy is a Ceramic Technologist and Entrepreneur with over 17 years of experience in technical ceramics and advanced ceramic materials. He holds a B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering & Technology from the Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (2003) and an M.Tech in Materials Science & Engineering (Ceramics) from IIT Kharagpur (2005). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Ceramic Engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi under the guidance of Prof. Santanu Das.
He is the Co-Founder, Managing Director & CEO of Ceramat Private Limited, where he leads the development and manufacturing of advanced bio-ceramic and medical material solutions.
Previously, Sabyasachi co-founded the ANTS Group, an innovation-driven advanced materials and ceramics manufacturing organization. ANTS Ceramics Pvt. Ltd., the group’s first company, originated as a campus-led startup from IIT Kharagpur with incubation support from STEP, IIT Kharagpur and CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad (2006). Under his technical leadership and hands-on involvement, ANTS successfully commercialized indigenous lab-scale technologies into industrial-scale applications, developing specialized products such as dielectric ceramics and ceramic seeker radomes for defense. The company’s contributions to indigenous technology commercialization were recognized through the National MSME Award (2018) by the Government of India, and DSIR certified its in-house R&D capabilities.
Sabyasachi’s expertise blends grassroots technical execution with strategic innovation and business leadership. He has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Faculty at KK Wagh College of Engineering, Nashik (2008–2014), teaching Materials Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Techniques at the postgraduate level.
Beyond his organizational leadership roles, he has served as Process Consultant to DEMECH (Deccan Mechanical & Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd.), Business Advisor to Metwiz Materials Pvt. Ltd., and Technical Consultant to Winways Chemtech, supporting projects in wear-resistant ceramics, thermal spray powders, and ceramic materials market development.
He is actively engaged in professional and industry bodies, including ASM India, the Indian Ceramic Society, the Powder Metallurgical Association of India, BIS, and the alumni network of GCCET. He currently serves as Vice President of AIPMA (2022–2025) and is an elected member of the Indian Ceramic Society.
Sabyasachi has received multiple honors for his contributions to the ceramics field, including the Sasadhar Roy Memorial Award (2018) and M.G. Bhagat Memorial Award (2020) from the Indian Ceramic Society, and the Young Alumni Achiever’s Award (2021) from IIT Kharagpur. His co-authored research publication “Pilot-scale manufacturing of phase-pure and highly crystalline hydroxyapatite” (International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, 2022) received the John E. Marquis Award (2023) from the Manufacturing Division, and he was awarded the Dr. Anil Kaviraj H.R. Johnson Memorial Award (2023) by the Indian Ceramic Society.
Dr. Debashish Bhattacharjee, PhD, FREng, is a leader in advanced materials, energy transition and sustainable manufacturing. He is the Managing Partner at Lionstead Ventures, where he guides investments and scale-up strategies for high-impact technology companies, including Ceramat.
With nearly three decades at Tata Steel, including serving as Vice President – Technology & R&D, he built new materials businesses from concept to commercialization and led major innovation programs across global operations. He holds 78+ patents and has been recognized with honors such as Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) and the National Metallurgist Award (Government of India).
At Lionstead Ventures, he works hands-on with founders, builds industry–academia partnerships, and supports the growth of responsible, scalable industrial technologies.
Amman Fenster is an investor with more than two decades of experience backing advanced materials, sustainable manufacturing, and industrial technology platforms across Asia. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lionstead Ventures, where he leads investments in companies driving industrial transformation— including Ceramat (bio-ceramics for healthcare and industrial applications), FerriQ (iron-based sustainable materials), and Unnmukt (renewable bio-pellet industrial fuel).
Before Lionstead, Amman invested in leading industrial and materials companies across Asia, gaining deep exposure to the commercialization of advanced manufacturing technologies.
He previously worked in investment leadership roles at Newport Asia, Standard Pacific Capital, and Emerging Markets Management, partnering with global institutional investors to support long-term, high-impact industrial businesses.
Amman holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
