Calcium-Deficient Hydroxyapatite (CDHA)
Calcium-Deficient Hydroxyapatite (CDHA), is a non-stoichiometric hydroxyapatite [Ca10-x(HPO4)x(PO4)6-x(OH)2-x; 0<x<1].
It is a bioactive crystalline calcium phosphate mimicking chemically and structurally to the mineral phase of natural bone.
CDHA exhibits a reduced calcium to phosphorus atomic ratio (1.50<Ca/P<1.67). This characteristic gives it a resorbable nature resulting in superior physiological solubility and osteoconductivity.
Due to its high specific surface area and biomimetic resorption rates, CDHA serves as a critical scaffold for bone tissue engineering, controlled drug delivery systems, and dental regenerative therapies.
It is a milky white powder, manufactured under controlled environment.
Available in 10 g and 100 g packs.
